DeMarco Murray Sets Records Vs. Rams |
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray put more than one record against the defense miserable St. Louis Rams running today. The Rams run defense has allowed Murray to rush for 253 yards and a touchdown today, including a touchdown pass of 91 yards rushing in the first quarter. Both of these record figures.
Murray overcame Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith single game rushing record for the Dallas Cowboys. Smith ran for 237 yards in 1993.
Murray set another record against, one for the Rams. His 91 yards was hit the longest allowed by the RAM in the history of a franchise that goes back to 1937.
Murray 253 rushing yards are the most ever allowed by the Rams. Only one other running back ran for over 200 yards against the Rams, who was Michael Turner of Atlanta, who ran for 208 yards and a touchdown in the end game of the time of year in 2008, the year before Steve Spagnuolo Rams hired as their head coach.
