Up to fifty college publishers will be able to use a platform e-commerce that allows them to collect donations and subscription revenues through collaboration between the press +, a service of e-commerce group RR Donnelley Custom Point Solutions, and John S. and James L. . . Knight Foundation.
Knight Foundation will cover the installation costs up to 50 next College publications to enter the + press, allowing them to install a "counter" on their websites through which they can pick up contributions and / or subscription fee of readers who want to show their support.
Press +, an affiliate appendage of the NFA, is a payment platform that allows publishers to collect new digital revenue for our online readers. Press + measured approach is used by local newspaper publisher*, national and worldwide magazines and online news sites only. It has expanded its technology to publications of the College, offering students a sustainable way to aim parents, alumni, and extra readers engaged for donations or subscriptions. Several newspapers colleges, for example, are soliciting donations online using the press + service only to solicit donations or subscriptions of people accessing websites outside the college community.

Knight Foundation. “Keeping up with the latest software - and even find ways to invent some of their own - are things the best schools of journalism and communications from the College now aspire.”
Last year, Knight has worked with the press + to help beneficiaries of the foundation nonprofit new platforms launch counter on their websites.
"Journalism students run the school newspaper hoping to have a career in journalism are very aware that the traditional model is broken - advertising is just not paying as much editorial costs than in the past, especially for newspapers and magazines, "Press + co-founder Gordon Crovitz said. "This generation needs to find new sources of income, including new ways to raise revenue from readers who receive the most value of access."
